Sooooooooooo long since last post! I apologize!!
Well it’s been awhile and it’s totally my fault. Life has gotten the better of us and just like that it’s been almost a year. I’m the one that pushed for the blog and seem to have the hardest time keeping it up. Now that we have facebook, twitter, texting and emailing we’re so connected we forget that not everybody is as connected as we are AND this was to record our boys lives. We want them to be able to look back and see what happened when they were too young to remember.
If you looked at our latest pictures you can see we recently purchased a new camera and are having so much fun with it that there should be lots of new postings of pictures in the months to come. It’s by far the best camera we’ve owned and love that our memories are being recorded with better quality. The boys just started swimming lessons again (first time for Declan). It’s been very entertaining to say the least. Aidan can swim and hold his breath under water, but panics from time to time and needs work on his technique. I think I put him in a class a little more advanced than I should have, but he’s hanging in there and loving it. Declan is where he needs to be, but wasn’t too sure of it at first. You can tell from the photos Chris put up. He took some convincing and bribing, but now is enjoying it. He is very stubborn and not easily convinced so we’ll be returning the next time around.
We are officially on summer break and the boys are ready to kill each other by noon each day. We have been very busy and on Tuesdays we get to hang out with Baby Will and Braden. Braden is Aidan’s best friend and Baby Will is Declan’s buddy who my friend Lori babysits and I took over one day a week. He is the easiest kid in the world to watch and the boys love him. We also have new neighbors who have three children and one on the way. Their oldest Tabby just turned six and was in Kindergarten this past year; her and Aidan have become fast friends. The second child is four and his name is Rex and Declan thinks he’s the coolest kid around. The youngest (until July when baby #4 comes) is Ella; she is two and the most adorable little girl. It’s been awesome having them next door we didn’t have very many playmates in our neighborhood and now we have 3 (going on 4) right next door!!
Aidan’s 7th birthday is coming up so we are trying hard to decide what to do and what kind of party to have. He has alot of ideas of his own about how he’d like the party to go and has a list of over 20 kids in his head that he would like to invite. 20+ kids plus their parents in my house won’t work! We’ve done bowling parties in the past and has always been a ton of fun, but Aidan wants something different this year. It wouldn’t be an issue if his birthday wasn’t the hottest month of the year here. We can’t utilize any parks or outside venues so that brings up the price and lessens the options. I’m also too paranoid to do a pool party. It’s hard enough to make sure my own two aren’t drowning to watch that many children around the pool:)
Well… keep checking back, we should be updating this site and the blog now that we will be going picture crazy for awhile. Also on a side note I’ll be adding a link eventually on here to my genealogy page. I ran into some papers my Grandma gave me and started to become obsessed with it. I’m a huge history buff and love learning about my own family history. I’ve covered quite a bit on both sides and am including Chris’; it’s amazing how far you can branch out. If any family has any info or pictures they’d like to submit please let me know! You can email them to me on here or at my personal email address.
Oh yes other BIG news!! My cousin Sarah and her husband Adam just welcomed twins on May 7th. Annabel Rose and Maxwell Ryan! Probably (next to my own of course) the sweetest, cutest little babies I’ve ever seen. We’re so happy for both of them and wish them all the best!!
Please feel free to send us any feedback or comments on our pictures or blog or the site in general!
Thanks for taking the time. Marcy
